Since Cade is still so young and I’m not really feeding him sugar, I wanted to come up with a fun and festive Valentine’s Treat for his friends that didn’t involve sweets. Initially, I was hoping to do gender-specific Valentines – sparkly, glitter nail polish or stickers for the girls and balls for the boys. I even had witty sayings that fit nicely, “You SPARKLE and SHINE, Valentine.” Or, “Have a BALL, Valentine.” Okay, so the ball one for the boys wasn’t that creative…

When it came time to find and assemble the little treats, the right sized balls and polish, stickers, anything glittery just couldn’t be found. Then the time came to compromise: BUBBLES. Who doesn’t love bubbles? Above, is the packaging I pulled together for Cade’s first Valentine’s play-date. Simple cardstock added color to the background and a quick confetti/bubble designed header pulled it together.
